On June 22-23, 2021, the Solomon Free Trade Digital Island Carbon Rights Trading Plan was announced at the Global Fintech Innovation Summit in Shanghai. The establishment of this project hopes to achieve a balance between environmental protection and economic development through global carbon rights trading, support the economic growth of developing countries through the inheritance of technology and education, and prepare for the establishment of the Solomon Carbon Rights Digital Exchange to actively promote the central province to authorize the group. The 35,000 hectares of high-quality forest carbon rights owned by 90 islands will build the Solomon Free Trade Digital Island, with the provision of tax-free policies, legal digital exchanges and themed island tourism as the promotion direction, attracting global foreign capital to invest in the development of the country's special economic zone.
In order to promote and accelerate the development of high-quality industries in the Central Province Special Economic Zone of Solomon Islands, Solomon 3T Chairman Mai Hanyun represented the Solomon Central Province Special Economic Zone development project and presented Shenzhen Yimu Charity Foundation, 10 metric tons of island carbon rights and the naming rights of islands designated by the Central Province Special Economic Zone.
